Uniform Letter

Dear Parents,
All pupils at Birchfield are expected to wear uniform in line with the policy which on the school website.
I would like to take this opportunity to revisit uniform expectations as I know that parents will begin to plan for the new academic year.

All students are expected to wear:
• A charcoal-coloured sweatshirt or cardigan (this item is available with a school logo on, but the branded option is not mandatory)
• White polo neck t-shirt/blouse/shirt
• Black/dark grey trousers or skirt
• Black shoes (trainers are not permitted)
• Purple book bag (this item is available with a school logo on, but the branded option is not mandatory)
• Water bottle (this item is available with a school logo on, but the branded option is not mandatory)
• In the warmer months there is also the option to wear black/ dark grey smart shorts or a purple/white gingham summer dress. These items are not branded.
• If children decide to wear a headscarf this must be a plain black or white scarf P.E Kit All students are expected to wear the following items when participating in P.E:
• Plain white polo t-shirt (this item is available with a school logo on, but the branded option is not mandatory • Black shorts/leggings/jogging bottoms
• Trainers We look forward to your support in this important aspect of our school, helping the children take pride in belonging to Birchfield Primary School, and the part our uniform plays in this.

Please can we also remind parents that jewellery is not appropriate for school.
