Dear Parents,
As I'm sure you aware, temperatures for w/c 18.07.22 are predicted to exceed 30 degrees.
For the three days of the final week, we will reduce the amount of time spent outside during the hottest parts of the day although we will ensure the children get their break times and do get some fresh air. Please apply sun cream before school and ensure your child has a named water bottle and a sunhat or cap. I am also relaxing the school uniform requirements for the final week.
For Monday 18th - Wednesday 20th children are not required to wear school uniform and should wear comfortable clothing to stay cool but also provide some coverage e.g.
Shorts or leggings/light-weight trousers
Skirts
T-shirts
School summer dress or a similar style.
All children should wear comfortable sensible shoes that are suitable for all school activities e.g. school shoes or trainers. No slips on shoes, heels or flip flops please.
Due to sun exposure please do not dress children in vests/thin straps. Please do not send children in their best clothes or party clothes.
