Dear Parents/Carers,
As a school we want all our children to love reading. One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is a new book for them to read and enjoy. As a school, we have invited the Scholastic book fair to bring us some new books for your child to have a look at. They will be shown around the books with their class teacher, and they will bring home a list of the books they would like to buy. There is no pressure for you to buy all the books they would like - we are aware of the financial constraints all families are facing at the moment. If you are able to purchase one or more books, then that would be a wonderful investment in your child’s future.
Paying for the books:
The children will bring back home their wish list and you can follow the instructions on the form regarding purchasing books from the Scholastic website. We cannot accept payments in school as parents are not allowed into the school to view the books at present. You can pay online, and we will be informed what book you have purchased, and we will send your child home with their new book – the following day.
We hope you are able to treat your child to a new book and sit with them to enjoy them together.
