Dear Parents,
The Immunisation Team from Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be visiting our school on Tuesday 15th December 2020 to administer the nasal flu vaccination. You will have received a consent form a few weeks ago that you were asked to complete and return to school. The Immunisation Team collected the consent forms from school last week and have all the information they need to be able to follow the programme. If you have not given your consent for your child to receive the nasal flu vaccination, then it will not be given to them. School staff will be overseeing the administration of the immunisation programme and the children will be supported by familiar adults during the process.
The Immunisation Team have been asked to follow the school risk assessment and will be wearing PPE to administer the nasal flu vaccine to the children.
If you would like to talk to the Immunisation Team directly about your child’s nasal flu vaccination, you can do so by calling them on 0121 245 5763. Alternatively, you are welcome to speak to a member of school SLT if you have any questions.
