Dear Birchfield families
Welcome back to you all! We hope you have enjoyed getting back to normal a little bit and that your children have had a positive and happy to start to the new year. We have certainly enjoyed having all our children back and are looking forward with enthusiasm and positivity to the new term ahead.
A couple of useful reminders for families:
- School times are 8:45 to 3:30. If families arrive before these times, there will be no alternative but to wait so please can I urge you to come at the times stated to avoid queues.
- Children should be in class by 8:55. Children arriving after 8:55 will be marked as late.
- Your child’s class teacher will inform you which days they have PE. On PE days, children should come to school dressed for PE. They do not need to bring a change of clothes. Trainers must only be worn on PE days.
- Fridays: Children going home for lunch are to be collected at 12:15 from the playground. Children staying for lunch are to be collected at 1:15 from the playground.
- Children in Year 5 and 6 may walk home alone with written parent consent – please see the teachers for more information.
Unfortunately, Covid19 hasn’t gone away and we all still need to be mindful of taking measures to minimise the risk to each other and keep our school healthy.
Please support us in reducing footfall on site by letting your children walk into the playground by themselves.SLT are outside and class teachers are on doors ready to receive the children. There is no vehicle access on site at any time.
Your child should not attend school if they have any symptoms of Covid19. You should book a PCR test. https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
